Risk disclosure: read this before you fund an account
Trading cryptocurrencies and other financial assets carries substantial risk, including the loss of part or all of the capital you invest. Automated analysis changes how markets are watched; it does not change what markets can do to your money. This page sets out the specific risks in plain language, with a practical step for each one.
1. Introduction and general warning
Every form of trading, including automated trading assisted by AI, involves financial risk. Prices of digital assets can move sharply in minutes, and the value of your account can fall as well as rise. Nothing on this platform is a guarantee of profit, and no statement in our marketing should be read as one. Before you deposit, decide the amount whose total loss would not change your life.
This disclosure is not a formality we are required to show once and never mention again. It is the honest summary of what markets do to accounts like yours, written so a first-time investor in Manila or Cebu can understand it without a finance background. Where a section names a practical step, that step comes from real incident reviews, not theory. Please read the whole page before funding an account, and revisit it whenever you increase your deposit.
2. Market risk and volatility
Market risk is the risk that prices move against your positions. Crypto assets in particular can gain or lose double-digit percentages in a single day on news, rumors, or large trades. Volatility creates opportunity and losses in the same motion, and sharp moves can happen overnight while Philippine markets sleep.
What you can do: set your strategy parameters with your manager so position sizes match what you can afford to lose, and review your monthly reports instead of checking prices hourly.
3. Liquidity risk and slippage
Liquidity risk is the risk that an order cannot be filled at the price you see, or cannot be filled promptly at all. In thin markets, the act of buying or selling moves the price against you; the difference between expected and actual execution price is slippage. During fast moves, even liquid assets can gap.
What you can do: prefer strategies and assets with consistently deep order books, and treat wide-spread periods as times to do nothing rather than times to force an exit.
4. API and integration risk
Automated trading depends on API connections between the platform and exchanges. A misconfigured key, a connectivity drop, or a changed exchange setting can stop strategies from acting exactly when action matters. Keys scoped wider than a strategy needs also widen the blast radius of any mistake.
What you can do: grant only the API scopes your strategies require, withhold the withdrawal scope when it is not needed, and tell support immediately if a connection shows an error state.
5. Counterparty and custody risk
Funds used for trading sit with exchanges and service providers, each with its own solvency, security, and terms. If a third party fails, freezes withdrawals, or changes its rules, the effect reaches your account even though every decision on our side was correct. Digital assets held with a third party are generally not covered by the deposit-insurance arrangements that protect ordinary Philippine bank accounts.
What you can do: keep only the capital you are actively using on trading venues, and withdraw profits to your own GCash, Maya, or bank account on a schedule you set with your manager. Regular profit withdrawals are the simplest custody control available to you.
6. Operational and technical risk
Software has defects, hardware fails, and internet connections drop. An outage can delay execution, and delayed execution in a moving market is not the same as no execution. Our monitoring aims to catch failures quickly, but it cannot make systems infallible.
What you can do: know how to reach support fast, keep your registered email reachable, and never assume a single session is the full picture of your account state.
7. Cybersecurity and phishing risk
The most common way accounts are compromised is not a breach of the platform but a user's password reused elsewhere, or a convincing fake of our login page sent by message. Attackers impersonate support teams and know how to create urgency.
What you can do: enable two-step verification, use a unique password, treat unexpected messages claiming to be Visaya Capital with suspicion, and verify senders against our official domain. The Security page lists every protection available to you.
8. Model and automation limits
The AI engine identifies patterns and micro-trends in historical and live data. Models are built on probabilities, not certainties: a pattern that repeated a thousand times can fail on the thousand-and-first. When conditions become excessively volatile, the system can pause trading, but a pause protects against chaos, not against loss.
What you can do: treat automation as a tool that executes a strategy, not as an oracle. Understand in one paragraph what any strategy you run is designed to do, and decline strategies you cannot explain.
9. Service availability
The platform is taken offline briefly for maintenance, and unexpected downtime can occur despite redundancies. During those windows you may not be able to change settings or request withdrawals until service is restored. Schedules for planned maintenance are announced in the dashboard, and incidents are communicated by email to your registered address.
Exchange-side maintenance matters too: individual markets are regularly paused by their venues for upgrades, and a paused market cannot execute your strategy's exits even when our side is fully online. These pauses are outside our control and are another reason to size positions conservatively.
What you can do: do not leave time-critical decisions to the last minute, and keep your verification current so that support can act for you quickly when it matters.
10. Before you start
Four habits define users who handle risk well:
- Understand the strategy. If you cannot explain what it does in two sentences, do not run it.
- Fix your maximum acceptable loss in advance, in pesos, before any market move tests you.
- Protect the account itself: two-step verification on, unique password, sessions reviewed monthly.
- Keep watching the watchers. Read your monthly report and ask your manager about anything you do not recognize.
Risk cannot be eliminated from trading, only understood and managed. If anything on this page is unclear, ask us before you deposit: [email protected].
